Summer Vacation at Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is a popular destination for summer vacations, and with good reason! This beautiful mountain lake offers plenty of activities and attractions to keep visitors busy. If you’re looking for ideas on how to spend your Lake Tahoe summer vacation, look no further. In this blog post, we will provide a guide to some of the best things to do in the area.

Lake Tahoe Activities

One popular activity in Lake Tahoe is hiking. There are many trails of varying difficulty, so there’s something for everyone. If you’re looking for a challenge, try the Mt. Tallac trail. This strenuous hike takes about eight hours to complete, but it offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. For an easier option, check out the Emerald Bay State Park trails. These shorter hikes are still beautiful and offer plenty of opportunities to take photos.

Another great way to spend your Lake Tahoe summer vacation is on the water. The lake itself is a popular spot for swimming, boating, and fishing. You can also rent stand-up paddleboards or kayaks to explore the shoreline at your own pace. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are plenty of opportunities for whitewater rafting in the area.

Want to go try your luck at the casino or catch a concert while you’re in town? Check out Harvey’s. Harvey’s has a ton of activities you can enjoy even if you are not staying at the hotel. Celebrated multi-Michelin star chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay’s HELL’S KITCHEN restaurant is also inside Harvey’s, you will want to make reservations.

Finally, no Lake Tahoe summer vacation would be complete without a visit to one of the area’s many beaches. Kings Beach and Sand Harbor are two of the most popular options. These beaches offer plenty of space for sunbathing, picnicking, and swimming. So whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, Lake Tahoe is the perfect destination for your summer vacation.

Keeping it clean and FUN

We are passionate about keeping the lakes we were raised going to as kids clean.  Lake Tahoe is one of the most majestic and famous lakes in North America. Lake Tahoe holds the title of the largest alpine lake in North America and at 122 square miles, it’s also the 16th deepest lake in the world. It’s important to remember to pick up after ourselves and not to drop any trash in the water or on the shoreline. Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on Earth and we need to do our part to keep it that way!

Summer Weather

The weather at Lake Tahoe over the summer is usually pretty mild. The average temperature in July is about 73 degrees Fahrenheit. Highs can get into the 80s to 90s degrees Fahrenheit during the day. However, it’s important to remember that Lake Tahoe is a mountain lake, so the weather can change quickly and at night it will get down to the 50s and 60s. Be sure to pack those comfy sweatpants and sweatshirts for sitting around a fire at night.
